About Superhub Meerstad

A “superhub” is being built in the Groenewei neighbourhood in Meerstad. It will be a sustainable and flexible building that will house a health centre, a café and a Jumbo supermarket, among other things.

The SuperHub has been designed so that the building can respond to the needs of the neighbourhood now and in the future. Developer MWPO is starting with a supermarket and a neighbourhood café, with the option of a health centre and nursery. In the future, the building can easily be used for educational, sporting or residential purposes.

The building has a wooden structure and therefore contains little concrete, which fits in perfectly with Meerstad’s sustainability ambitions. Solar panels will be installed on the roof and there will be space for planting to attract bees and insects.
