Club Wicked opened its doors in September 2025 in the basement of Wijck as the first comedy club in the northern Netherlands. Until recently, comedy in the north of the country was mainly found in pubs or on temporary stages, but Wicked finally offers a permanent venue where humour takes centre stage.
The club was founded with the aim of providing a stage for both new and established comedians. This gives local talent the opportunity to develop, while well-known names from the Dutch comedy circuit also regularly visit to test new material or give a full evening performance.
In addition to performances, Club Wicked also organises workshops and classes for anyone who wants to explore the world of stand-up comedy for themselves.
