Municipal Election Debate for internationals

Did you know that in the municipal elections, expats have the right to participate as long as they are registered with their municipality? According to the results of a survey on the city council elections, residents of Gemeente Groningen called ‘students’ one of the most important themes for the next council elections which will be held on 16 March 2022.

On the 28th of February at 20:00 in Groninger Forum, there will be an election debate. Several parties will participate and discuss how they approach numerous issues that the next city council will face, such as the housing crisis or internationalisation of Groningen. Moreover, in the town hall round parties will answer questions from the audience.
