During the Groningen Summer Festival, the nightlife heart of Groningen transforms into a huge open-air party several times. Three stages are set up in Poelestraat and Peperstraat where DJs provide a mix of singalongs, classics, guilty pleasures, and current hits from 20:00 to 01:00. There are also outdoor bars to serve you a nice drink.
During the day, a varied program for young and old takes place on the Nieuwe Markt, featuring fun activities, entertainment, and socializing. The festival is an initiative of various Groningen hospitality entrepreneurs, with the aim of making Groningen the best summer city in the Netherlands.
The Groningen Summer Festival takes place on July 23, July 30, August 20, and August 28.
