Broodje Oetchie started out in a storage room in a terraced house, but Raoel van der Meijden recently opened his own sandwich shop on Nieuwe Ebbingestraat. What makes Broodje Oetchie so special is the combination of authentic Surinamese recipes with a contemporary and accessible style. The shop is known for its freshly baked Surinamese bread and 100% halal meat.

The menu offers a delicious variety of sandwiches, such as BBQ chicken ketjap, tempeh and salted cod. Each sandwich is served with fresh red onion and cucumber relish as standard, and you also get banana chips as a side dish.
