Since the 1st of December 2019 the bicycle storage under the Nieuwe Markt has been open. This bicycle storage lies in the basement of the Forum Groningen and has space for 1200 bikes. It is situated in the heart of the city and accessible through escalators.

The bicycle storage is accessible by bike via Sint Jansstraat and Popkenstraat, for pedestrians it is also accessible via the Forum Groningen or via the Grote Markt / Poelestraat entrance. This free garage is open 24/7 and has camera surveillance and charging points for e-bikes.
