Groningen is a beautiful city. You have so many beautiful spots to take pictures that it might be difficult to choose your favorite ones. Nonetheless we tried choosing 6 beautiful places with which you can win over the whole Instagram.
It is probably the most famous Groningen building. Its history dates way back. But it is also a very beautiful and striking building to take a picture of.

This place might be known Europe-wide, if not even worldwide. The colourful houses are a big must-visit for people visiting the Netherlands, and especially the area around Groningen.

Due to the many canals in the Netherlands the cities also need havens. Groningen also has some havens, which look beautiful on pictures. But one of our favourites is the Oosterhaven. From the Trompbrug you can take beautiful pictures of the haven.

The university building of the RUG (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen) is one of the most beautiful buildings in Groningen, so no wonder it is on the list. If you come to Groningen make sure to take a picture of the university building with lots of bicycles in front of it. It’s the typical view you get on daily basis.

You need the perfect timing to get a special picture in front of this house. The most beautiful time to take a picture at this unique house is spring. Why? You ask. Because that is when the Wisteria is in full bloom and turns the house into a place like out of a fairy tale.

As mentioned before Groningen has a lot of canals, so it is no surprise that it also needs a lot of bridges. One of the most photographed is the “A Brug” on the way to the city.
