About Knol’s Koek

In the city and its surroundings the family business Knol’s Koek is widely known. For nearly 100 years the bakery has been baking, just like Grandfather Knol once started. No flavorings, fragrances or preservatives are added to the hand-made products. Everything is prepared manually and sold fresh.

Reopening

In august 2018 the bakery had its second fire in eight years. Most of the building on the Hotendiep burned down: only the walls remained standing.

The upcoming 100 year jubilee in 2023 was an important reason for the bakery to return. After one year of hard work, the bakery reopened its doors on the 29th of July 2019.
