Meerwold – Food & Drinks

In 1992 KPN, former PTT, opened a training and conference center at this location. A beautiful building was build with an impressive design. It was named Meerwold. Today this is where Hotel Groningen Plaza (Best Western Plus) and its completely renovated restaurant are located.

Meerwold offers a diverse menu, that has many French classical influences with a modern twist. Sounds delicious? That is exactly how it tastes. They serve delicious lunch and dinner dishes made with seasonal products. For their dishes and drinks they use a lot of organic and local ingredients. They also have a cooperation with the Groningen distillery Hooghoudt. The menu changes four times a year. This way you can try something new every season.

Meerwold focuses on a delicious cocktail of visitors. They want everyone to feel at home at Meerwold: Occasional passers-by, permanent or less permanent business guests, families with children, sailors and students.
