In the center of Groningen you will find Artsy Avenue, a café where you can express your creativity. At Artsy Avenue you can paint pottery and thus create your own unique pieces. When you enter, you choose a pottery item. This can be a mug, plate, vase or something else. Then you collect the colors that you want to use to decorate this item. With this you create your unique design on your pottery item. During this process you can enjoy the delicious coffee or other drinks that they serve at Artsy Avenue. When your pottery item has the desired design, you hand it in to an employee. They will take your item to the kiln. Through the kiln, the colors will soak into the clay and therefore be permanently in your item. After about 4 weeks you can pick up your unique item at Artsy Avenue and take it home with you. Artsy Avenue also offers you the possibility to take the drinks they make by hand to go. So you can also go there in the morning for your fresh cup of coffee to go.
