5 Smaken is located in the heart of Groningen, on Poelestraat, which is home to many cozy bars. The dishes are prepared based on the five basic flavors: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami.

At 5 Smaken, you can enjoy the best dishes from Asian cuisine, ranging from Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Japan. You can also enjoy exotic cocktails such as Tom Yam Siam, Mango Sticky Rice, and the Wasabi Martini.

The restaurant is divided into two sections. The first section features an authentic Korean BBQ dining experience, where you grill your own meat at the table. The second section is a ramen bar, offering six types of ramen, a few side dishes, and various donburi and Japanese curry options.
