About De Haan

The restaurant De Haan is an innovative restaurant in Groningen. The restaurant has no waiters. You can grab your own bread, drinks, coffee and tea.

For each dish a matching wine has been selected, but you can also choose the house wine. The wines and matching glasses are ready for you at the wine bar. On the table is a preprinted menu and drink card on which you keep track of what you ate during the evening. At the end of your dinner, you have compiled your bill yourself. Restaurant De Haan only serves a surprise dinner, consisting of 4, 5 or 6 courses.

Due to the new restaurant concept, De Haan is a beloved place of many Groningen residents. The restaurant is fully booked for a large part of the year. It is therefore always necessary to make a reservation (far in advance).
